We are beyond fortunate to be involved in so many styled shoots orchestrated by local (& sometimes not so local!) planners, photographers, & venues. This summer we were met with an incredibly talented group of Richmond & Charlottesville vendors along with a destination event venue, Pharsalia. Located in Nelson County, VA right outside of Charlottesville, Pharsalia provides the perfect escape for DC couples!
For this particular shoot we took the approach of “less is more” & wanted to portray a streamlined & translucent feel with modern pieces in a traditionally rustic setting. The focus of the shoot was the juxtaposition of mixing modern clear pieces, like our plexiglass table with copper hairpin legs along with AFR’s ghost chairs, amongst the natural setting of the venue’s orchards and gardens.

Fun Fact: What you don’t see in these photos, however, is that the weather had a different idea for us that day & this multi scene shoot was pulled off in a about an hour due to super hero photographer, Kim Stockwell Photography, who saved the day & the shot the entire feature dodging colossal rain drops!
