Overview:

Paisley & Jade is a Richmond-based company specializing in specialty and vintage rentals for events, weddings, trade shows and photo shoots. We assist clients with realizing their vision by helping them utilize our gorgeous, one-of-a-kind inventory. 

We pride ourselves on our creative and positive atmosphere and are eager to invite a part-time project assistant to be part of our team!

A Day in the Life of a Project Assistant:

Life at Paisley & Jade is fast-paced and constantly evolving, so this position is subject to change and growth, but will definitely include:  

  • “Finishing work” on custom designed and built items that come out of our shop (paint, stain, sealing, etc)
  • Routine maintenance work on collections of our inventory (ie. repainting chalkboards, sanding and refinishing tops of coffee tables, etc)
  • Small repairs and touch-ups on items as they cycle in and out of our warehouse for events

This person will work a set schedule of approximately 15 hours here at our warehouse in Scott’s Addition.  The exact hours can be set to fit the right person, but will occur during the weekdays between 9a-4p. This might be perfect for someone who has their own creative gig but wants some extra cash heading into the holidays, or someone who wants to pick up some work but wants to be able to meet their kids when they get off the bus!

What’s We’re Looking For 

Eligible applicants must:

  • Have a working knowledge of paint and stain application, clean up, and maintenance
  • Experience with “handy” undertakings and applicable tools (glue gun, staple gun, power drill, etc)
  • Familiar with safety associated with paint & tools
  • Be a skilled communicator, possess an unwavering attention to detail and have the ability to perform tasks independently
  • Be able to lift up to 30lbs
  • Be able to pass a drug, criminal background and credit check
