Pretty Pews! – Vintage Seating Now Has A New Look

We’re so excited to reintroduce you to our vintage oak church pews! These wooden beauties were once covered in layers of white paint and were quite lovely.  But we’ve been itching to restore them to their original oak style for a while and were happy to announce that day has finally arrived!  Now sporting their original oak finish with gorgeous wood grain and rich detail,  these pretty pews are ready to shine at your next event!  We hope you enjoy this behind-the-scenes look (via our handy dandy iPhone cameras) at the refinishing and restoring process! It was quite the summer project and we’re thrilled with the final result!

Talk about a “hands-on” kinda project!  It was detailed and painstaking work to remove years of white paint from these church pews but our awesome team of P&J peeps were up for the challenge!

From scraping to sanding our staff worked most of the summer months on restoring and refinishing ten of these vintage beauties!  In between delivering to all of your awesome events,  they spent hours braving the hot and humid Virginia weather to get these pews rental ready!

Once they were scraped, sanded and stained, the first two finished and charming church pews made their debut at a gorgeous outdoor wedding in Farmville!  We absolutely love how they look in this lush ceremony set up paired with our mismatched wooden chairs! Swoon.

This refinished beauty made a recent appearance in an outdoor lounge on the gorgeous grounds of Mt. Ida Farm in Charlottesville.  Paired with some soft pillows, lanterns and our beautiful Barrie Runner the pew makes for a lovely addition to any lounge area as well!
